Sowing and Reaping!
Just six years ago Tami and I sowed a vision; and from only ten people, we have grown to our current size. Along the way we have reaped harvests. This year our rate of growth in attendance is currently 12%. Faith Week saw a 90% increase from the previous year. Our kids’ Halloween alternative, Slime Time, saw a 75% increase on last year’s attendance. All of this happened because we have sowed time, talent, prayer, faith and finances. People have harvested blessing, miracles, healing and restoration. We have seen people receive deliverance and direction. People have discovered who Jesus truly is and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Many have discovered new talents and giftings. We have reaped thousands of souls around the world in decisions for Christ. To reap the next harvest, we need to sow now. To reap a greater harvest, we need to sow more. Join me as we sow and reap together.
Where does all the money go?
To make a ministry function properly, it needs to be well funded. At Church in the Word, we have taken steps to curtail any unnecessary spending while adequately funding our ministries that are essential to the life of our congregation. Staff salaries are well below the average percentage of total income for churches of our size. Each month we need about $45,000 to function well. This is why we need faithful givers to fund what the Holy Spirit is doing. If we are to have revival we must sow in every area: prayer, fasting, the Word and financial giving.
The Council and I are standing in faith, believing people will be obedient to the Holy Spirit and give towards the current needs of this ministry.
